Heather Bailey
Assistant to the CEO for Special Projects
Heather enjoys a unique position within McGohan Brabender, as it is her job to identify and address company-wide needs-- and then produce results! Since joining MB in 2004, she has laid the groundwork to establish MB’s Human Resources Department, created an internal performance-based bonus program, and formalized a charitable giving program to serve the communities of which MB is a part.
Her most recent challenge has been to develop a wellness program that can be carried out to clients. Modeling the program after McGohan Brabender’s own successful CLIMB (Changing Lifestyles Inside McGohan Brabender) wellness program, she steers companies to harness employee volunteers to own and carry the message of “wellness” to their fellow employees. This product has been branded as “eMBrace Wellness,” a customized solution for clients of all sizes to use when establishing in-house wellness programs.
In 2007, she was a workshop presenter at the state-wide Healthy Ohio conference and also became certified through WELCOA (Wellness Council of America) .
A volunteer member of Healthy Dayton Coalition, she collaborates to help Miami Valley residents choose lifestyle behaviors that improve their health. Through it, she is serving on the steering committee of an exciting project coordinated by Wright State University’s Center for Healthy Communities. This multi-year project analyzes the Miami Valley’s wellness attributes that bridge (or prevent) citizens to be well. The first cycle of this project is expected to be finished in 12 months.
Heather brings nearly 25 years of professional experience to McGohan Brabender. Before joining MB, Heather held the position of Vice President of Grants and Programs at The Dayton Foundation. Through this non-profit work, she developed the skills to work with volunteer leadership who strive to bring good to the community. This skill serves her well as she pulls together volunteers to create cultures of wellness in their own companies.
Heather is a graduate of Earlham College in Richmond, Indiana, where she earned two Bachelor’s degrees: a B.A. in Economics and a B.A. in Business Management.
