Karla Foland
Commission Analyst
Karla Foland serves as Commission Analyst at McGohan Brabender’s headquarters in Dayton, Ohio.
As Commission Analyst, Karla’s position entails the supervision and analysis of commission data. Karla supervises the posting, reconcilement and reporting of commissions, and analyzes commission data for projection and trends. Karla’s supervision responsibilities are not limited to commissions, however. She further supervises the state licensing of internal producers and the agency, as well as the appointments of internal producers and the agency with various carriers. In addition to these duties, Karla audits carrier payments and carrier receivables and verifies carrier sales and retention goals as well.
Of Karla’s nearly 45 years of professional experience, nine of them have been here at McGohan Brabender. Karla began her career as a high school Latin teacher, teaching grades nine through twelve at an area school district within the Miami Valley. Karla made the transition into the financial arena when she started in a position with an area bank as an internal bank auditor. She eventually moved within the company, from serving as a bank auditor to serving as controller of financial reporting. Karla then took the knowledge she had gained in finance to a firm within the computer software industry. There, she made her mark working closely with financial software in the development, testing, and installation phases. She also provided consulting services during her time with that firm.
Upon graduating from Miamisburg High School, Karla went on to obtain her Bachelor of Science degree in Education from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio.
Karla has one daughter and son-in-law, and “three absolutely gorgeous and loving grandchildren!”
