Sue Carter
Account Manager
Sue Carter serves as Account Manager for the Hopf-Schmidt Team at McGohan Brabender’s Cincinnati location.
Sue’s primary duties are to strengthen and maintain client relationships by providing the highest level of account service and adhering to McGohan Brabender’s quality standards. She assists clients in plan design, participates in presentations with high-level personnel, contributes ideas and strategies and manages all aspects of her clients’ renewals. Additionally Sue conducts meetings, presentations and ongoing benefit communication with employees. Her goal is to exceed her clients’ expectations.
Sue holds nearly 25 years of professional experience within the employee benefits/insurance industry. Sue began her career as a Claims Representative for a Third Party Administrator. There she processed and adjudicated claims and assisted employees with claims issues and questions. She went on to serve as a Senior Medical Underwriter and Department Supervisor for a health and life carrier. In addition to those responsibilities in that position, Sue also assisted administrators and conducted group installations and employee presentations of their product offering. Sue later transitioned into work as a Client Service and Account Specialist at a small insurance brokerage firm in Michigan. There Sue continued to assist administrators and employees alike by conducting employee meetings and also participated in strategic planning sessions to help employers with their benefit plans and renewals.
Sue obtained her high school diploma and went on to take college medical coursework. Later in her career she achieved the designation of Registered Health Underwriter from Northwestern University.
