Tim Brabender is Co-Chairman of McGohan Brabender Companies.
As Co-Chairman, Tim’s area of expertise lies in setting the long-range vision for McGohan Brabender Companies while continuing to cultivate relationships - both internally and externally. Tim also continues to serve as an account executive within McGohan Brabender’s Dayton office. As Account Executive, he is responsible for new account development and providing an exceptional level of service to existing clients. This is accomplished through continuous learning, skill development in all areas of the benefit management, and by listening to his clients’ needs. Tim’s goal is to continue to be the trusted benefit resource for clients.
Of Tim’s nearly 30 years of professional experience, all of them have been within the employee benefits industry. Upon graduating college, Tim began building his benefit knowledge through a position in sales with a nationally-recognized insurance carrier. A few years later in 1985, Tim joined Pat McGohan as a business partner, turning “McGohan & Associates” into what we know today as McGohan Brabender.
One of Tim’s greatest strengths is his ability to take something complicated - whether it’s a spreadsheet or an emerging benefit trend - and simplify it into layman’s terms. His clients know that if they need their plans and options explained in an easy-to-understand manner, he will be there to do so for them. This ability to simplify also allows him to develop MB’s long-range vision in simple, clear terms - that have a lasting impact.
Tim graduated from the University of Dayton in 1981. There he obtained his Bachelor of Science in Marketing. A loyal advocate of the university, Tim now serves on the University of Dayton Alumni Board-- and to this day is a die-hard Flyers fan.
Tim resides in Centerville, Ohio with his wife Susie and their two children: Ben and Abbi.
