Our Commitment to Community

When McGohan Brabender thinks about the word community, what lies outside the walls of our building is not the only thing brought to mind. McGohan Brabender also spends a great deal of time thinking about the people inside our business, because we know that each and every employee puts their heart and soul into what they do.

However, our employees are not the only sense of community we enjoy. McGohan Brabender believes in putting as much into the place where it lives as it takes out. That’s why the company has been dedicated to donating to the United Way for several years, at times enjoying 100% company participation. And whether it is contributing to over 60 charities across the region, serving meals at The Other Place shelter in Dayton, or adopting families in need at Christmas, McGohan Brabender has always known that it gains much more from the community than it could ever hope to give.

Who We Support

MB’s charitable commitments are made to nonprofit organizations suggested by our employees, usually in the areas of health and human services. Selected organizations must demonstrate that they are maximizing their community impact with the limited resources available to them. By limiting the number of charities we support financially, we are able to make larger donations. Most often charities are supported by our own employees lending their time and talent.

When a financial donation is made, we give to capital campaigns, annual operating support and special projects of tax exempt 501(c)(3) organizations. When a donation of employee time or talent is lent, we encourage service on agency boards and special projects.
