Name: Sam Homan
Hometown: Springboro, OH
School: Bowling Green State University
Major: Secondary Education and Special Education

What skill would you like to master?

Sam: I want to get better at golf. All my friends golf and I want to be better. I need to go on more golf outings or something. I feel like golfing is a very relaxing thing once you get good at it but I’m not at that point yet so it’s just stressful.

What are three words you use to describe yourself and why?

Sam: Uhm, let’s see, three words…Social because I’m a very social person. I enjoy interacting with others and hearing about their lives. Humorous because I’m always good for a laugh. I have a really good sense of humor, I think. I would also say I’m peppy. I’m always drinking caffeine so I’m always feeling myself and I’m always in the zone.

What’s the most interesting place you’ve been to?

Sam: The most interesting place? I would say Washington D.C. I’m a big history buff and I’m going to be teaching history someday so I feel like I could spend an entire summer out there just to learn everything there is to know.

Who inspires you to be better?

Sam: Probably my dad because he’s always pushing me and driving me to do and be the best I can. He’s encouraging and doesn’t hound me when I make mistakes. He helps me learn from them and turns it into a learning experience.

What takes up most of your time?

Sam: When I’m not working at McGohan Brabender, I would say umpiring for youth baseball this summer!
