Clear as mud: 2020 Vision in the Political Arena – Dayton

The political landscape will begin to heat up heading into the 2020 election.  Healthcare will continue to be a major talking point with buzzwords such as “Medicare for All”, “Universal Coverage”, and “Public Option”.   These elusive terms will bombard the political discussions/presentations and complicate the options available to us as Americans.  During this session, we will simplify these confusing terms in relation to Medicare, Medicaid, prescription costs, commercial coverage and the ever-changing individual coverage.   We will unpack the economy health care from multiple views and the impact on you the employer, your employees, as well as their jobs in your community.   Until defined, these alternatives sound reasonable, however, each have huge economic consequences, even the option of doing nothing.

Speaker: Scott McGohan, CEO, McGohan Brabender
Scott McGohan is the CEO of McGohan Brabender. He works on vision casting, strategy alignment and leadership deployment. He has been with MB since 1988. Scott started at MB as Tim Brabender’s assistant. He moved into sales and had a real passion for marketing. He led the sales team at McGohan Brabender for several years including driving marketing for the organization. As a business leader, it is always about people for Scott — always has been and always will be.

Scott believes that understanding your core is the essence of transformation. That includes being vulnerable about both your strengths and weaknesses. He believes people need to see leaders make mistakes, own them when they do and teach people through success and failure. Scott believes you cannot threaten, coerce or reward people to care.
