Bezos, Buffett and the Future of Health Care

Episode #56

05/15/2018

In January 2018, Amazon, Berkshire Hathaway and JP Morgan Chase announced they were partnering to change the way benefits are delivered to their employees. We’re still waiting for details, but Scott and Anne Marie believe this partnership of three of the world’s leading organizations might just be able to achieve its goal of simplified, high-quality transparent health care at a reasonable cost. It wouldn’t be the first time a major employer has made a dent in health care delivery; way back in 1915, Henry Ford founded a hospital for his workforce that today is a nationally recognized health system.  So what changes might this bombshell announcement hold for the US health care system? If their combined technology can produce simpler, faster and more transparent health care, then Scott says there is hope.
