Dr. David Lee

David Lee, MD, MBA, serves as President of the OhioHealthy Medical Plan. In this role, Dr. Lee focuses on delivering health plan services and OhioHealth wellness programs that meet the unique needs of employers in the central Ohio region. A physician executive with more than 10 years of operational leadership experience, Dr. Lee has been with OhioHealth for 15 years in various leadership capacities and has a strong track record of delivering results and building culture. He also serves as Vice President of OhioHealth Employer Solutions, leading a team of more than 400 clinical and operational associates. In this role, he manages multiple product lines including eight occupational health sites, 40 on-site clinics and wellness programs that support the health and wellness needs of more than 30,000 patients a year, and an internal employee health program. Dr. Lee earned his Bachelor of Arts in Chemistry with distinction in all subjects from Cornell University and a Masters in Business Administration from the University of Massachusetts.  Board certified in Family Medicine, Dr. Lee received his doctorate from The Ohio State College of Medicine and Public Health and trained at the Riverside Methodist Family Practice Residency Program, where he served as Chief Resident. He is the recipient of a number of awards and honors recognizing excellent customer service and scholarship and was recognized on Columbus Business First’s 40 Under 40 list in 2014. Active in the community, Dr. Lee serves on the United Way of Central Ohio Board and the Vice Chair of the Board for the Center for Healthy Families in Columbus, Ohio. He is Past-President of the Visit Dublin Ohio Board of Directors, and serves as an American Hospital Association (AHA) Next Generation Fellowship Mentor, as well as the Chair the Institute for Diversity and Health Equity’s Leadership Council.
